Commercial roofing for building owners and general contractors in Richland and the Tri-Cities
Black Diamond Roofing & Construction works with building owners and general contractors from its Richland office. Quality work and dependability come first.
Chapter 01
Quality and dependability, both
At Black Diamond Roofing, quality work matters as much in a commercial roofing contractor as dependability does. Those are the two core values we focus on when we work with building owners and general contractors on commercial roofing jobs.
On a commercial building the roof is part of the operating budget. A leak over a stockroom or a tenant space costs far more than the roofing material ever did. Sound work and a contractor who does what they said they would do are what keep that bill from arriving.
Black Diamond Roofing & Construction, Inc. has held its Washington L&I general contractor licence since 2003, and the company is licensed, bonded and insured. The office is at 2418 Garlick Blvd in Richland.

Working with owners and general contractors
Commercial roofing work reaches a roofer from two directions. A building owner calls because an existing roof is leaking or near the end of its life. A general contractor needs a roofing contractor on a new build or a renovation. Black Diamond works with both.
A general contractor needs a roofer who can hold a schedule and work around the other trades on site. An owner needs a straight answer about what the roof needs and what it will take. Either way, the first step is a conversation and a look at the roof.
To start that conversation, call the Richland office at (509) 943-ROOF, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Black Diamond serves the Tri-Cities, and its own site says it will travel up to 250 miles outside the greater Richland area.
Chapter 03
Multi-unit and low-slope work
A commercial roof is not a bigger house roof. Many are low-slope, where water has to be carried off a nearly flat surface by membrane, seams and drains. Others are steep-slope roofs on a large footprint, like a row of townhomes, where scale and scheduling are most of the job.
Black Diamond says it is equipped to install commercial and residential roofs of all types and sizes. Its own gallery shows a drone view down a long row of townhome roofs and a red standing-seam metal roof. Standing seam is a metal panel system with raised seams and hidden fasteners, which is why it sheds water so well.
There is also a video on YouTube titled “Black Diamond Roofing-Hot Solar Solutions Metal Roofing Project.” If you have a specific roof type in mind, ask about it when you call. Black Diamond offers free estimates.
Earn the next job
If finding a commercial contractor you can rely on has been difficult for you in the past, give Black Diamond Roofing a call and let us earn your trust and your business.
The company holds a 4.8 star rating from 268 Google reviews. On a residential re-roof, one reviewer wrote that Josh, the owner of the company, inspected the finished roof to make sure the job had been done appropriately. On a commercial job, that kind of owner follow-through is worth asking about.
Josh Shupe runs the company from Richland. The office line is (509) 943-ROOF, and his cell, which takes texts, is (509) 308-6656.
